Bel East belfry Window Zone B and C.
Detail of dexter upper section of the east befry window after cleaning.  This illustrates the very poor condition typical of the belfry windows on all elevations.  There are a considerable number of cement repairs, which have aggravated the lamination and deterioration of the Ham stone.  All the cement was removed where possible and the stone repaired with lime mortars to protect the weakened stone and retain the shape of the window tracery.
