Instead of having a 'conventional' advertisement as previously described (advertising), you can have a personal page on this website. The layout and content would include brief details of your business, logo, history, products etc, including a few photographs. The page resembles a page in a colour brochure. It functions like a mini website and may be ideal for you prior to having a full size website designed. A web page costs £120.00 which is a 'one-off' fee. This effectively gives you your own 'stand-alone' mini-website at a low cost. For example www.davidfelce.co.uk . (This is a web-page, as an example, on the Bath Farmers Market website) - Domain names cost £35.00 for a .co.uk or £50.00 for a .com. (for 2 years) Other suffixes are available. 1) Basic package - £120.00 - This includes one extra ‘page’ on the Mendip Life web site for your personal details - we suggest below some detail which you might like to include - note: you do not need to include the following detail, it is just a guide, you can put whatever you want on your page as long as the total content does not exceed the total below. a) Introduction - (This introduction should be kept short) The traders name, logo, photograph if required, brief description of produce / service, location of business and contact details etc. b) A more detailed description and history of the trader, plus location, map, production methods etc. The amount of text and pictures which can be included here for the above price is 300 words maximum, plus 4 pictures/photographs. (Note: 300 words will fill about one third of this A4 page) c) List of produce and products sold, with prices, availability, and any other details. If the trader has their own brochure, price list, product list etc, this can be scanned-in and used in the page, assuming the quality is suitable to produce a legible image on the final web-site. If all the details need re-typing, there is a limit to the amount of text which can be included in this basic cost package. The amount of text and pictures which can be included here for the above price is 300 words maximum plus 4 pictures/ photographs/ price lists / brochure pages ( 300 words will fill about one third of this A4 page using this font size) The total amount of information which can be included in (a), (b), and (c) for this £120.00 price is 600 words approx, plus 8 pictures. Note: this is flexible and can be apportioned across the page in any order. ( 600 words will fill about two thirds of this A4 page, using this font size) Once the web page is completed it is placed in the 'Business Links' page. Any number of additional pages for your business can be included on the web-site at additional cost. It is not possible to estimate the cost of additional pages without knowing the nature of the content and quantity. Our website co-ordinator (address at bottom of page) will be happy to give you an estimate for additional pages.
